In the framework of the Jean Monnet project \u201cTransitioning to Teaching with Incorporated Education for Sustainable Development \u2013 ToTinESD\u201d, were held three open lectures, in the premises of the Faculty of Economy, University of Tirana. The activities took place with students that attend the first academic year of bachelor study programs \u201cFinance\u201d and \u201cBusiness- Administration\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The activities were organized:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 05.05.2026, Mrs. Anila Hoxha- Director of Albanian Insurance Bureau, held a lecture for the module: \u201cPrinciples of Finance\u201d, with students that attend the \u201cFinance\u201d study program, on the topic \u201cGreen Insurance and Sustainable Finance\u201d. The lecture focuses on the role of green insurance and sustainable finance from the perspective of insurance companies, with particular emphasis on how insurers can identify, assess, and manage climate-related and environmental risks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 05.05.2026, Mrs. Anila Hoxha- Director of Albanian Insurance Bureau, held a lecture for the module: \u201cPrinciples of Finance\u201d, with students that attend the \u201cBusiness – Administration\u201d study program, on the topic \u201cESG Integration and Sustainable Practices in Insurance\u201d. The lecture focuses on how insurance companies can integrate ESG principles in investment decisions, product development, and risk management, while contributing to the transition toward a more sustainable and resilient economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 27.05.2026, Mr. Dorian Pashaj- Head of Environmental Management Unit at ProCredit Bank, held a lecture for the module: \u201cPrinciples of Finance\u201d, with students that attend the \u201cFinance\u201d study program, on the topic \u201cGreen Finance in Practice: The Banking Sector\u2019s Role in the Transition to a Sustainable Economy\u201d. The lecture focused on demonstrates how financial institutions can support the transition toward a sustainable economy through green investments, responsible financing, and sustainability-oriented practices. The lecture concluded with an interactive role-play activity, in which students assessed and calculated their individual environmental impact, reflecting on how their everyday choices contribute to climate change and exploring practical ways to reduce their environmental footprint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
