Round Table in the framework of Green FIB project
On May 26, 2025, a round table on the role of banks in the green transition was held at the Faculty of Economy, University of Tirana, premises. The event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including representatives from banks and other financial institutions, members of the business community, academic staff and master students. The purpose of the meeting was to facilitate a comprehensive dialogue on the contribution of the banking sector to sustainable development. This activity was held in the framework of the Jean Monnet Module 2023: “Enhancing knowledge of EU green finance policies in insurance and business valuation” (Green FIB).


Workshop in the framework of Green FIB project
On 9 June 2025, the Faculty of Economy, University of Tirana, hosted a workshop entitled “Curricula Enrichment Including EU Policies.” The event convened academic staff and experts engaged in FEUT projects to deliberate on proposed curricular enhancements that align with contemporary European Union policy frameworks. During the workshop, participants presented the ongoing projects currently being implemented at the Faculty, critically reflecting on their implications for the quality of teaching and learning. Also, the participants shared best practices, key lessons learned and insights gained throughout the implementation of projects.


“Green Insurance” Workshop
On January 21,2026 it was organized the “Green Insurance” Workshop, held on January 21, 2026, at the Faculty of Economy, UT, within the Jean Monnet project “Enhancing Knowledge of EU Green Finance Policies in Insurance and Business Valuation – Green FIB”, funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Programme.
The workshop brought together academics, insurance professionals, and Master’s students in Finance to discuss the role of the insurance industry in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals under the Paris Agreement and the link between insurance market development and sustainability performance. Students actively engaged in the discussions, highlighting the importance of connecting theory with sustainable practice.
